1. Funding areas
The Foundation supports charitable projects within Switzerland and abroad that:
- contribute to preserving an intact environment and the ecological balance as a basis for sustainable tourism; and
- support disadvantaged children in tourism regions, with particular consideration to the education and training of these children as well as the promotion of closer understanding between different cultures.
2. Funding principles
The Foundation supports charitable projects within Switzerland and abroad that:
- promote sustainable development;
- generate multiplicative effects;
- are innovative; and
- promote closer understanding between different cultures.
The following project types are not supported:
- covering deficits of ongoing or completed projects;
- supporting individuals (grants, scholarships, start-up funds for businesses, etc.)
- purely IT-based projects;
- research projects and publications;
- contributions to projects with political or religious goals;
- events, festivals, jubilees, general fundraising activities and donation campaigns.
3. Project submission
The Foundation makes funding decisions through a two-stage process:
- Informal consultation
Please send us an email with a one- to two-page description of the project along with details of the financial resources required, any funds already committed by other sponsors, as well as the persons responsible for the project.
- Formal submission
If the result of the preliminary examination of your project by the Donations Committee is positive, it will invite you to submit a formal project request.
